Biography Promise's father died when she was very young and her mother is a soldier. As a soldier, the mother was moved around the country very frequently and had no one to stay with Promise and her sister. Her mother tried to send them to other family members, but no one would accept them. Eventually the mother got connected to caretakers living in Kapeeka who need someone to clean the house. When they arrived and the caretakers saw how young they were, he would not let them work but invited them to come to TICC where he works. The caretaker and his wife have children of their own so they are finding it hard to also pay school fees for Promise. The mother has since abandoned her and has no more contact with Promise. Promise likes dancing and the color pink. She enjoys her english classes and when she finishes school she wants to be a Piolet.
